I have been trying to come up with a verse or two about how the Cubs have been playing lately, but there isn't much that rhymes with "under 500". There have been some very, very sad moments (losing to the Pirates) and some pretty darn surprising moments (Sori saves the game with a great defensive play), and love, love, love for Carlos Silva. I think I love him even more knowing that we got him in a trade for MB. That just makes me laugh uncontrollably.
Silva came to the Cubs in a trade
No one was sure if a good deal was made
But Silva has been an ace
While MB is still a big head case
So I think we can say "it's worth what we paid"

ReplyDeleteNice one! As you know, I stalk a few Mariners blogs and it has been really annoying to see their fans STILL hating on Silva (while STILL making excuses for MB). At first they said "it's early" when he did good, then they said "well it's the NL Central." Well bitches, Silva just beat one of the best teams in your league in their own town, the hitter friendliest park in all of baseball - how ya like him now???
